Random

I hate when it's super slow at work... there's nothing to do and all I can think about is all the things I could be doing if I did not have to be here. I'm thinking about my bathroom that needs to be cleaned, groceries that need to be bought, errands that need to be run and things that need to be organized... it's really frustrating. I just made my to do list, but i can't DO it until the clock strikes 5. But if course, by then, I don't want to do anything. *sigh*

I've also planned out meals for this week and next. I'm really excited to try out some new recipes. There's a Shrimp Pasta that sounds amazing and an Oreo Pizookie recipe that I can't wait to try. I've found some really great recipes lately. I'll have to post some of them.... and I'm hungry now.

So I did not get that accounting job that I applied for. Lost out to someone with more experience. But it's OK. I'm making an effort to be grateful and look on the bright side. I am actually making more money in the position I have now than I would with the accounting position, and this job is way better than the last 2 jobs I've had.

I'm also excited to come down to the warm and beautiful AZ for my lil' bro's farewell this month. He's leaving to Guatemala on April 6th to serve a mission for our church. I'm so proud of that little turd. He's such a good kid. I'm going to miss him... we live in different states now, but when he leaves I won't be able to text him and bug him or anything! I'm sad... And happy.

Other good news, I've been called to serve as the first counselor in the Primary Presidency of my ward. I'm a little nervous, but more excited. I already told Tyler that this is probably going to make me really baby hungry. Aaaand it is.

There are only 5 kids that we have to take care of right now, so it's not too stressful. They are all super cute and so sweet. I'm so excited- I found this huge bubble "sword" thing that Tyler and I got from Walmart when we were dating. It's just a big ol' tube of soap, with a big ol' wand that makes huge bubbles. I think the kids will love it. And if not, I'll have plenty of fun. ;) Some of my favorite date activities while dating Tyler include: coloring and going out for ice cream, finger painting, watching Disney movies, buying big bubble swords from Walmart and other various activities. We do adult things sometimes too, but it's fun to be silly sometimes.

Hope y'all are having a happy day.

Meet my new friends

I met some new friends when I came home from work today...

I think I scared them.

But now we're cool.

I've thought about joining the blogging world for a while now... I didn't really want to at first. I don't feel my life is spectacular in any way, but I think this will be good. I've never been good at journal keeping, but maybe I'll be better at this.

We are the Clawsons and we are awesome.....

So Tyler and I have been married for about a year and a half. It's been amazing. Marriage is great. Tyler is finishing his Microbiology/Russian major at BYU. He should be done in August. He's still planning on going to medical school after that. He will start applying in a few months. I'm so proud of him. I'm so excited and a little scared for the road ahead. It's not going to be easy.

He's is still working at the crack of dawn for Tahitian Noni, taking care of the Russians. It's been a really good job for him. They are a good company and we get lots of free stuff. All the Noni juice you could want.... which for me is none. :) I do try to drink it though. It is good for you.

I just started a new job for a company called Stores Online. They are a really good company and I'm grateful to have a good job. I'm working as a customer support representative... which is not my first choice. I'm trying to move to the accounting department. I would have better hours and best of all I would not have to deal with customers! I really just don't want to deal with it anymore. So fingers crossed!

Tyler and I enjoyed a nice Valentines day in which we both had lobster for the first time! We bought lobster tails from Sunflower Market and grilled them at home. Umm, can we say delicious?! It. was. so. good. I can't believe I have been missing it my whole life. We'll definitely be doing that again.

Anyway, life is pretty good. We are happy and so blessed. I'll post again soon, goodbye for now!
